December Building Statistics
Building permits issued in December were valued at $1.1 million, up over the same month last year, according to Owen Sound Chief Building Official Brian Green. Year end figures show $16 million worth of construction value in 2011.

Collision sends 3 to Hospital
At 10:50 am today, police, fire and ambulance services attended to a collision that occurred at 9th Street West and 2nd Avenue West. The collision involved a northbound Hyundai Sante Fe sport utility and a westbound Dodge Caravan.
